The Jobs

Job 1: Part time Tax Manager (This is a new role in our growing practice)

This job entails being responsible for a portfolio of clients and taking responsibility for ensuring that their digital records meet HMRC's expectations. The successful candidate will need to be able to prepare tax computations to a high standard and to agreed deadlines. The role also includes providing advice, training and support to the office team as well as identifying opportunities for additional services.

The successful candidate will also;

Candidates will be part/fully ACA/ACCA/ATT or CTA qualified with previous experience of working in a senior tax role within a practice environment.

Job 2: Accounts Preparation and Cloud Services Manager (This is a new role in our growing practice)

If you have at least five years experience in preparing Accounts for small businesses from incomplete records and would like to progress your career further, broaden your skill set and help our clients focus on what they do best, then this fantastic opportunity might be right for you.

We are looking for someone who can see beyond the process of preparing accounts from incomplete records. Someone who already sees cloud services and social media as an opportunity to change the way accounting services are delivered to our clients. Someone who would like to work with me to help make a real difference on how our client's businesses function every day.

The world is changing fast and I believe that we can deliver increased value by bringing people and information together. You will need to engage with our clients in a business advisory capacity and help them understand how cloud technology can help their business.

By Increasing the use of cloud services within our practice, I aim to create a more flexible work environment which will benefit our clients and staff alike. I also believe in personal development plans for our staff, so if you like the idea of broadening your cloud accounting and social media knowledge in work time, then I would like to hear from you.

I believe that technology, if used wisely, can be used to improve the efficiency of every single business, and that means not just our clients' business but also our own.

I need someone who has the foresight to imagine a different kind of accounting practice, one that is not necessarily shackled to a building. I need someone who is prepared to work hard to help us make this happen. Obviously, you will need to be experienced in preparing accounts from incomplete records, but for the rest, a keen interest in cloud accounting and social media will be enough. If you are technically minded, I will help you become the "go to" person for all our cloud accounting and social media needs.

Your presence in the office will initially be required for a minimum of three to four days a week, but clearly if you are good at your job, this would reduce over time.

Job 3: Part time Payroll Clerk and Bookkeeper (This is a new role in our growing practice)

We are looking for an exceptional experienced hands-on and versatile person to join our team. This will be a flexible part-time role amounting to an average of 1-2 hours per day. The successful candidate will need to be able to work to a high standard and to agreed deadlines.

The successful candidate will assist our team with a variety of business clients and will need a basic understanding of payroll, RTI, VAT compliance and accounts preparation using different accounting packages. A high degree of accuracy in maintaining both purchase and sales ledgers will be required including undertaking bank/cash reconciliations as required.

The successful candidate will also;

Candidates will preferably be part/fully AAT qualified with at least five years previous experience of working in similar environment.
